Both teams played great, but in the end (literally), Italy did what a winning team needs to do; that is finish. Both goals were beautiful with no margin for error. VIVA ITALIA Congratulations to Germany for a good tournament. Nobody, not even you, expected them to get that far. When the tournament started I picked Italy to win it all (but was for Mexico). The Italian showed how to play good defense in this WC. The only goal they got was an own goal against the US. Otherwise their net is clear. I thought they played better in the first half. The 2nd half Germany was a bit stronger, not much. What a great OT (even before the goals). A cruel way to lose, but…

Congratulations to Germany for a good tournament. Nobody, not even you, expected them to get that far. When the tournament started I picked Italy to win it all (but was for Mexico). The Italian showed how to play good defense in this WC. The only goal they got was an own goal against the US. Otherwise their net is clear. I thought they played better in the first half. The 2nd half Germany was a bit stronger, not much. What a great OT (even before the goals).
